Spinifex Psychology offers in-person psychological assessment in Invercargill for a range of presentations. Reports are written to be useful, both to the people being assessed, and to the professionals and systems supporting them.

Trauma Support
Structured, evidence-based support for people affected by traumatic events. Sessions available individually, via telehealth, and through partnerships with organisations.
For referrers
Referrals are accepted from GPs, schools, legal professionals, statutory agencies, and other health professionals, as well as directly from individuals and families.

About Jo.
I’m a registered psychologist based in Invercargill, offering psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults across Southland, and trauma support for adults via telehealth across Australia and New Zealand.
I’ve spent my career working in complex contexts, including child protection, education, corrections, and community health in New Zealand, remote Australia, and Southeast Asia. I’ve enjoyed having such a variety of roles, as it has given me experiences I can draw on to better understand and support my clients.
I have a Master of Science in Psychology and am registered with both the New Zealand Psychologists Board and the Psychology Board of Australia.
